60th birthday celebration for twins Lloyd and Lawrence Duhaney

Intermittent sprinkling of rain did not dampen the spirit of guests, as friendly chatter and warm greetings filled the air, at last Saturday's 60th birthday celebration for twins, Lloyd and Lawrence Duhaney.
For the younger of the two- Lloyd, branch manager at both Sagicor banks in the second city, the aim was to make his 60th birthday memorable, and for that he needed to bring his family and friends together for a party at Syrynity Palace in Montego Bay.
Lawrence, the older of the two and a university lecturer, who resides in Florida only had to turn up for the soiree. However, by the time relatives overseas heard of the plans, they too were on flights and the party became a family reunion.
That was all the Duhaney's needed, in addition to a special turntable cake, conceptualised by Lloyd's wife Janice, and created by Beyond Expectations.
The other ingredients such as decor, musical vibes and food, were complemented by Carolyn 'Suzie' Haughton-Salmon, DJ Turbo and Hunger Buster's restaurant. The latter providing a delectable variety of food and sweet delights including bread pudding, devil's fruit cake, chocolate bites and appetising veggie crudites, callaloo quiche and fruit platter.
Lloyd was not content with only celebrating his 60th birthday. Having spent more than half of his life with wife Janice, he surprised her with a 30th anniversary surprise rolled right in.
The soiree was attended by members of the Redway and Barrett families, doctors, Curtis Yeates, Delroy Fray, Barbara Salmon- Grandison, Kenneth and Elizabeth Lee, Jennifer Dixon, her sister Joan Dixon, Anthony Hall and Shaun Jones.
Approximately 200 guests were in attendance, including, Larie Hamilton; Robert Smart; Reggie and Miki Tomlin; Mark and Carlene Duhaney; Lance Duhaney; Ann Chen; Rena Forbes; William Craig; Joe Hylton; Nathan and Jackie Robb; Kelvin and Suzie Salmon; Chris Chow; Christine Bucknor; Michelle Distant; Oral Heaven; Maud Walters; Ernie and Yvonne Grant; and Shauna Shelton.
