Part two of Helen G Events Planning and Designs Make Your Day bridal expo took the form of a fashion show at Eden Gardens last Saturday.

The fashion show got off to a very late start, and opened with White Lotus bridal boutique showcasing an exquisite collection of wedding gowns that would have brides head over heels.

After the White Lotus showcase, it was time for the top six of the Design a Dress competition and a chance to win $100,000.

Simone Michelle, Yolande Bennett, Shellee Melbourne (Enruoblem Designs), Monique Morgan, Mercy Copeland and Stefanos Designs went head to head to show off their beach-inspired wedding gowns.

The contestants were given four weeks to design and create their gowns, and while all were very talented, a few fell off the mark in their finishes. However, there were some pieces that stood out and had the judges going back and forth.

As the judges deliberated, Fashion Fever Boutique and Petals and Promises showcased a beautiful collection of wedding fashion-from resort to wedding gowns.

Then it was moment of truth for the designers. Lead judge Dexter '3D' Pottinger announced Yolande Bennett as the winner. Bennett made her victory lap in tears, obviously over whelmed with emotion.
