MoBay City Run says Thank You!

Following a successful staging of the third MoBay City Run, the organisers féted sponsors and volunteers with a thank-you reception the at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Western Jamaica Campus (WJC) last Thursday night.

The group, which included companies such as Goddard Catering, Billy Craig Insurance, Bull Head Spring Water, Sandals Resorts International, ATL Auto and volunteers from the Cornwall Regional Hospital and the Kiwanis Club of Providence, were recognised for their outstanding contribution to the annual event which provides scholarships for tertiary students in need.

The three institutions that are to benefit are the Montego Bay Community College, UTech Western Campus and WJC.

Emerson Whittley, the man in charge of coordinating the distribution of the scholarships, announced that applications would be opened by the last week in June.

"We will disburse the funds by the end of August or early September," he stated, adding that he could not say how much money would be disbursed this year.
