Mai Tai Sizzles with soca
Easter Monday was definitely one to remember when soca junkies came out their numbers to experience the carnival oasis better known as Mai Tai.
Stylish divas and their male counterparts made their way to the historic Devon House, where they were greeted by a lei necklace traditionally offered as a welcomeand armed with their Caesar's Army's flash tattoo, to keep their warrior spirit alive.
The scene was set: open greenery and sunshine, which eventually progressed to a beautiful sunset before turning into dusk; a myriad of cocktails to choose from; food galore to spice up your palate; and coconut water to 'wash off the heart'.
What more could anyone ask for? Well, fuse all of that with soca and you are bound to have the best time ever!
Despite law enforcement making several attempts to shut down the party, the festivities continued and had everyone in high spirits. The icing on the soca cake, however, came when Bunji Garlin blazed soca trails and lit up the stage with his show stopping performance.
When his wife, Faye Ann Lyons joined in on the fun, everyone had their hand in the air, waving and wining to their favourite hits from the star couple.
In case you weren't able to make it, be sure to join the soca militia as Caesar's Army hosts their annual A.M. Bush tonight! See you there!!
