Getting ready for Expo 2017
Hard Rock Cafe in Montego Bay recently hosted the perfect precursor for the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Expo 2017, set for October 13 to 15 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
The promotional initiative featured displays by the trade show's title sponsors Yello Media Group, Billy Craig Insurance Brokers, Di Foto Shoppe, Wican Supplies and Fidelity Motors, who showed off the fully loaded 2018 Nissan Pathfinder.
The biennial trade show, being held under the theme 'Connecting Industries ... Building Together', is expected to attract approximately 15,000 patrons, and will provide a medium for businesses to showcase the best of Jamaica's goods and services.
The focus of this year's expo will be on Jamaica's service sector - particularly tourism and hospitality; construction; the business processing outsourcing/information and communications technology; energy; agriculture and the creative industries. This year's staging will also feature robust business-to-business networking, fostered by JAMPRO, under the Invest MoBay initiative.
A focal point of Expo 2017 will be an area dedicated to MSMEs and start-ups, with the Jamaica Business Development Corporation being engaged to offer support.
