NCB unveils futuristic branch in Fairview

Senior executives of the National Commercial Bank, headed by its chairman Michael Lee-Chin, strutted into the city of Montego Bay last Thursday to unwrap a significant piece of history - the official opening of the NCB Fairview branch.

Male executives were all decked out in traditional business attire, but the fashionable and classy outfits of the female executives just could not go unnoticed.

It was one of those late afternoons that witnessed a blanket of grey and white clouds hovering over the community. Music punctuated the atmosphere - softly - as a welcoming sign for a large contingent of NCB staff and specially invited guests.

This set the tone for the speeches that were to come, designed to give customers and guests a comprehensive overview of what the NCB Fairview branch has to offer.

Speakers Patrick Hylton, president and CEO of NCB; Brian Boothe, senior general manager, retail banking division; and Rickert Allen, senior general manager, human resources and facilities division were as eloquent as they were concise in their deliveries.

Their message was that the centre would offer a suite of financial solutions inclusive of investment portfolios through NCB Capital Markets, Insurance, corporate and private banking, a drive-through ABM service, NCB Bank-on-the-Go 24-hour service, Western Centre Middle Market Business Unit (recently launched), and other amenities.

"This is the most modern and futuristic building, [and is] designed to serve the needs of our customers. I have travelled extensively, and I have never seen another bank with a facility like this," the group's Chairman, Michael Lee-Chin, said.

Boothe added that the Fairview centre is the second of its kind in Jamaica and is unprecedented in Montego Bay. "It is one of our most impressive innovations. The features are very advanced and are in keeping with global industry standards," Boothe boasts.

Hylton concurs that the centre remains one of the most dynamic infrastructure ventures that the NCB Group has undertaken.

"In an effort to achieve our 2020 strategy of becoming NCB 2.0 - faster, simpler, and stronger - we have, in earnest, embarked on a mission to reimagine and revamp the way we do business, thereby, creating more convenience, which has involved upgrading our spaces," Hylton stated.
