1 Newly appointed Commissioner of Police Antony Anderson has a mighty task ahead. He first has to get the police working again, or get rid of those who 'see no evil'. Just think about the fact that more than 100 illegal funeral homes have sprung up all over the country, and a motorist can collect 60 or more traffic tickets and still operate a motor vehicle. Let's not begin to talk about the guns in every nook and cranny of this country. Chaos reigns.

2 The parishes of Westmoreland and Hanover are awash with illegal motorbikes abandoned by their owners for traffic offences. It's time the authorities do something - either use them for police work, or sell them and use the proceeds for fighting crime and violence.

3 What can one make of the fact that despite a law that requires retailers of alcohol to be licensed, persons can sell a drink of rum from a cart and there is no repercussion?
