The vibrant colours of the Caribbean left no doubt that Trafalgar Travel intends to continue to be first on the minds of travellers in the region when planning that all-important travel experience. This was evident upon entering the ballroom of The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, recently, for the travel agency's 2018 annual awards and Christmas luncheon.

The agency had much to celebrate, including the launch of its latest mobile app, Guinep. The first mobile app to be offered by a Caribbean travel agency, Guinep was created to fill an existing gap where persons prefer to book via their mobile device, while still having the full support of a travel agent. Through the app, existing and new customers can book flights, access exclusive travel specials, stay up to date with the latest travel news, and chat with an agent in real time.

Since its inception, the Guinep app has seen an average of 10 registrations daily and is currently available in Jamaica (for Android devices only), on the Google Play Store.

According to Tara Bradshaw, e-commerce and business development manager, "Trafalgar Travel has served both corporate and leisure travellers throughout the Caribbean for 24 years, and has been awarded the title of the Caribbean's Leading Travel Agency by the World Travel Awards for the past 12 years in a row. We are a full-service travel management company with branches in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and St Kitts; handling air, hotel, car rental, cruises, tour packages and visa/passport services," she said.

This is a service range of which they are very proud.

For the coming year and beyond, Trafalgar Travel intends to continue living up to its motto: 'Quality Service, Quality Relationships.'

"We are always seeking to improve our services and product offerings, and to take advantage of any new technologies that become available, and that will further enhance the customer experience. The travel industry is constantly changing, sometimes on a daily basis, and we always strive to be on top of these changes, and most importantly, to keep our customers informed," Bradshaw said.

As the only Jamaican travel agency with an in-house IT department, staffed with young, dynamic developers. In the new year, customers will continue to see Trafalgar Travel creating and executing new solutions to benefit both internal and external stake-holders. Every year there is something new, but Bradshaw says 2019 will be even more exciting as it will be their 25th anniversary.

The recent awards function saw top producers and sales executives receiving prizes for jobs well done. The guests were superbly entertained by the ASHE Company, Silver Birds Steel Band, Creative Co-Lab and Romain Virgo.
