The Jamaica Pegasus Ballroom was transformed into a scene of elegance last Saturday for the Guardian Life Limited’s 2020 Annual Awards. Under the theme ‘Achieve and Celebrate’, outstanding staff members were honoured for their hard work and dedication throughout 2019.

In a flurry of excitement, team members entered draped in the latest avant-garde designs and got seated to await the results of the annual awards ceremony.

“Awardees, your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and we heartily congratulate you as you continue to go beyond the call of duty to make valuable contributions to our company,” said Eric Hosin, president of Guardian Life Limited, in his opening remarks.

Team members from across the island cheered as over 200 awards were handed out, including: long service, top sales manager, Employee of the Year, and members of the Court of the Table –Million Dollar Round Table’s highest sales achievers in the world. An award was also given to the Rookie of the Year, as well as top sales adviser and the Chairman’s Award.

“Fellow Life Guardians, I implore you to continue on the path of hard work, creativity and perseverance, as well as to foster true team spirit. It is well known that ‘United we stand, divided we fall’, and we certainly cannot afford to fall,” said Hosin. He then motivated the awardees to continue to stand tall and move on to even greater achievements, individually and collectively, to ensure the company’s future success.

“The sky is the limit, so let’s press on even when we may feel like quitting, and be firm in our resolution to all be winners,” the president concluded.

To end the evening’s event, one of Jamaica’s most popular entertainers Romain Virgo delivered a spectacular performance that had the crowd rocking to the beat of his hits.
