Ali Baba, Titanic look safe

With last Saturday's 10-race programme at Caymanas Park producing one mild upset in BUTLER CABIN at 7-1, both the Pick-9 and Super-6 were caught.

With no carryovers being offered, punters are expected to have another fruitful day with most of the races seemingly easy to unravel. The Pick-9 will be conducted from race two to 10, the first Super-6 from race one to six, the late Super-6 from race five to 10.

We look at the first Super-6 which gets under way with a four-year-old and up restricted allowance race (non winners

of three) to be contested by eight starters, including ante-post favourite TITANIC, who has finished second to

LEGENDARY PLEASURE and BATIDOR DE MUNDO in his last two races.

With connections calling up champion jockey Dane Nelson for the ride, TITANIC who has been kept on the move at exercise by trainer Clifford Atkinson Sr should use his pace to best advantage and stave off old rival ELUSIVE DREAM in a field of eight.

Next on the programme is a $350,000 - $300,000 claiming race over the straight five course which brings together three strong candidates in DI COBRE, PRINCE O'SHAUN and the three-year-old colt CHEERS, now thrown in for a tag for the first time.

The Richard Azan-trained CHEERS won his only race over the course at the expense of GLORIOUS CAUSE on June 28. He subsequently finished a

creditable third to DA JACKAL and DAGGA DAGGA LINKS over the course in non-winners of three and on the strength of that performance should make it close.

DI COBRE steps down in class after finishing 41/2 lengths third to STEP IT UP in a fast-run 1100-metre race and being quite effective over the straight, is not to be taken lightly with competent 3kg claiming apprentice Davidan Robinson aboard.

Still, the one I like best is the Spencer Chung-trained PRINCE O'SHAUN, now down two classes with 2kg claiming apprentice Romario Saunders riding him from the convenient mark of 53kg. PRINCE O'SHAUN is nicely drawn on the stands' side and having won over the straight back in June, is preferred, to DI COBRE.

ALI BABA, who was beaten by the classy two-year-old filly COME DANCE WITH ME in a fast-run sprint on his recent debut, has looked razor sharp at exercise under the watchful eye of champion trainer Wayne DaCosta, and is tipped to go one better under leading jockey Dick Cardenas in the third race over 1200 metres and could be used as a banker.

Then take THE REAL DRAFT, who went down fighting against SWIFT GOLD on August 31 at 1400 metres, to rebound with Jevvanne Erwin aboard in the fourth race over 1500 metres. And the last two races should be won by the very fit RAJA HINDUSTANI (Omar Walker up) and down-in-class NATURALFANTASY (Jemar Jackson). Their respective
