Based on the response of the crowd of enthusiasts who attended Ocean Style?s Let It Rip golf clinic and exhibition with Guinness Book of World Records long drive champion, Maurice Allen, it was clear that the event was a rare and much appreciated treat.

The clinic is a prelude to the Ocean Style Celebrity Golf Weekend, which is scheduled for October 24 and 25, with action on the first day at the beautiful White Witch Golf Course and the second day at Cinnamon Hill?s prestigious golf club.

Last week, more than 120 guests were at the Constant Spring Golf Club for the first leg and another 40 turned out at the Cinnamon Hill Golf and Country Club for the second leg to kick off the Style Celebrity Golf Weekend last Saturday morning.

National golf champions and corporate giants elected to take part in the Cinnamon Hill clinic last Saturday. Champion golfers including Sean Morris, Teddy Richards and Radcliff Knibbs all took part in the event along with Mike Drakulich, managing director and co-founder of Mystic Mountain and Glen Lawrence, chief executive officer Couples also spent time improving their swing.

?The golf clinic was very different from anything on the island because number one, I want to make golf fun. I want to make golf fun for everyone, from the battle-hard golfer to the person that?s never picked up a club before,? said Allen.

Douglas Gordon, editor-in-chief, Ocean Style Magazine stated: ?We?re delighted with the outcome of the clinics. Maurice (Allen) was able to share some insights into his golf game, impart tips to some golfers and demonstrate his tremendous ability.?

This year the tournament boasts some top notch prizes from the US$1 million hole in one prize to a private jet membership with JetSmarter.com.

Past players and celebrities of the Ocean Style Celebrity Golf Weekend include boxer Lennox Lewis, sprinter Donovan Bailey, footballer Shaka Hislop, actor Anthony Anderson, cricketers Courtney Walsh and Jeffrey Dujon and footballer Andy Cole.
