Netball Jamaica's general manager, Karen Anderson, said the Berger Paints Elite League will begin on Friday at the Leila Robinson Courts with two matches.

The competition should have started last Friday, but was postponed due to smoke from the Riverton City Dump.

"We have the schedule out, and so we are just going to continue with those matches," said Anderson.

"We will now look at the schedule and find an acceptable date for the matches that were postponed," she noted.

In Friday's matches, the Kingston Humming Birds will take on Manchester Spurs, and St Catherine Racers will oppose Clarendon Gaters.

Meanwhile, Boulevard Baptist's coach, Shawn Murdock, expects nothing but victory against Rollington Town A in today's feature game of the NJ Supreme Ventures Minor League.

The match will be at the Leila Robinson Courts, starting at 5:45 p.m. In the day's other games, to be played simultaneously, Tantrum will oppose Maxfeild Park 'B', Top Mountain Flames tackle Hannah Town and Waterhouse await Liguanea B.

Boulevard Baptist will be looking to rebound from their 21-17 opening-game defeat to Tantrum.

"I am feeling positive about this game," said Murdock. "I think that we will put up a much better performance than we did in our opening game, and so I am expecting us to come out on top.

"My players were very disappointed when we lost our opening game, and so they are looking to bounce back in this match," Murdock said.

Boulevard Baptist will rest their hopes in the hands of the Britney Graham, Chrisona McGrouder, Lorie-Ann Barrett, and Shana Steadman.

Meanwhile, Rollington Town are also coming off a loss- 35-17 to Top Mountain Flames - in their opening game.
