NETBALL: National defender, talented shooter left out of World Cup squad

Thristina Harwood was not included in the Sunshine Girls final 12-man squad named to represent Jamaica at the Netball World Cup in Australia in August.

Experienced senior national team defender Malysha Kelly and talented shooter, Thristina Harwood, were not included in the Sunshine Girls final 12-man squad which was named yesterday to represent Jamaica at the Netball World Cup in Australia in August. 

The team selected one newcomer in St Hugh's schoolgirl Kadie-Ann Dehaney.

The 12-member team is led by Nicole Aiken-Pinnock (Captain) with Paula Thompson (vice-captain), Romelda Aiken, Shanice Beckford, Kadie-Ann Dehaney, Nicole Dixon, Stacian Facey, Jhaniele Fowler-Reid, Anna Kay Griffiths, Sasher-Gaye Henry, Khadijah Williams, and Vangelee Williams. 

Shantal Slater and Adean Thomas, are the reserves, they will continue training with the team until its departure at the end of July.
