The Jamaica Tallawahs crashed to a massive 84-run defeat in the Hero Caribbean Premier League T20 at Sabina Park tonight.
Set 180 to win by the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Jamaica Tallawahs were dismissed for 95 in 15.5 overs.
A brilliant 65 (30 balls, three fours and six sixes) from Brad Hodge laid the foundation for the  Amazon Warriors' 179 for three off 20 overs. Hodge got good support from Assad Fudadin (54) and Lendl Simmons (36).
When Jamaica Tallawahs batted, captain and leading batsman Chris Gayle fell for 11 after fellow opener Chadwick Walton was dismissed for zero.
The Tallawahs did not recover from the early setbacks. Allrounder Andre Russell was the leading scorer with 28 (three fours, one six).
Fast medium bowler Ronsford Beaton was the destroyer for the Amazon Warriors with four for nine in 2.5 overs.
