Netherlands lodge protest against Jamaica after men's 4X100m relay

BEIJING, China:
Officials of The Netherlands have lodged a protest against Jamaica's men's 4x100m relay team at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China.

The Jamaican team of Nesta Carter, Asafa Powell, Rasheed Dwyer and Nickel Ashmeade crossed the line first in 37.41.

However, the Dutch are contending that Jamaica's team captain Asafa Powell impeded their athlete while making his exchange on the second leg.

A decision is expected shortly.
