Host country Haiti blanked defending champions Jamaica 2-0 in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Women's Under-20 finals on Friday evening.

The first half saw high energy and good skill from both teams, but it was Haiti who would strike in the 19th minute from Batcheba Louis, whose close-range conversion changed the momentum of the match.

Haiti dominated possession for the rest of the half and created many chances to double their lead. Jamaica, playing without star player Khadija Shaw, who is injured, would defend and maintain their organisation to keep the score at 1-0 at half-time.

The second half belonged to the Haitian women, who, after a great build-up from the midfield, saw Captain Kensia Destinvil fire a left-foot shot into the top left corner, making it 2-0 for the hosts.

Earlier, Trinidad and Tobago defeated Puerto Rico 2-1 in a penalty shoot-out.

Puerto Rico went ahead in the 6th minute when Andriana Font scored from the penalty spot. Trinidad and Tobago equalised in the 24th minute and it was 1-1 after regulation and extra time. Haiti, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago will now advance to the 2015 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship which will be hosted by Honduras from December 3-13.
