In what could well go down as the best ISSA-FLOW Super Cup performance so far this season, Clarendon College, at their vintage best, demolished Excelsior High 7-1 at Sabina Park yesterday.

Brilliant Clarendon captain and forward Creggton Charlton dominated the action as he scored a hat-trick and had a hand in three of the other four goals as his team eased into the semi-final of the competition.

Charlton's goals came in the 25th, 51st and 86th minutes.

He then sent a warning to his rivals in semi-finals.

"This is not one of my best performances. I can do better because I am Creggton Charlton. I can perform a lot better because I want my team to win all four trophies and I am going to do my best and I will be leading again," said the confident player.

"I don't fear anybody," said Charlton of a potential semi-final clash next week against his daCosta Cup rivals.

"I am going to take all four trophies and I am hoping to be the standout - leading goalscorer and MVP," he stressed.

The Clarendon team's other scorers were Dominic Lemont (54th), Donovan Noble (61st) , Shande James (65th), and Nicque Daley (71st).

Excelsior's consolation goal came in injury time (91st) as Clarendon's concentration dropped. There were five cautions in the electrifying contest, dominated by the Clarendon school.

Coach Paul 'Tegat' Davis of Clarendon said the 7-1 win was not a big surprise.

"To be honest, we could see it in training ..., so I expected this performance from my guys," he outlined.

Excelsior's Shavar Thomas called the result a big disappointment.

"Hats off to Clarendon. They had a special player in Charlton, who made the game for them. It's just disappointing that we didn't respond, but I guarantee you ... you will never see an Excelsior performance like that again," Thomas said.
