Digicel to host 'I am Bolt' premieres across the Caribbean
Communications and entertainment provider Digicel is giving thousands of its customers across the region the opportunity to attend the official Caribbean premieres of the I Am Bolt movie.
Youth athletes from local track clubs, Digicel Grand Prix finalists, creative arts students and local film producers will also be given the chance to attend the premieres.
The series of premieres kicks off in Jamaica on Tuesday at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, where Usain Bolt will be in attendance along with his parents and family.
December 6-9 premieres
Other screenings will follow in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, French West Indies, Montserrat, St Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago from December 6-9.
"We chose Usain as our chief speed officer because of his love for speed and his winning personality all of which come to the fore in the movie. We are very happy for Usain and this achievement and we are excited about working with him again to deliver even more exclusive content and experiences to our customers," said Peter Lloyd, group director of marketing for Digicel
As presenting partner of the premiere in the Caribbean, Digicel will be rewarding customers with tickets through a number of activities, including invitations and online competitions across its social-media platforms Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

In addition, customers will have exclusive access to a host of other content from the movie, including clips and behind-the-scenes footage which they can watch at home or on the go via their mobile devices.
"This project is very special to me because I get to show the world more of who I am and what I've had to go through to get to where I am today it hasn't been an easy journey but that's what makes winning so much more meaningful for me.
"So I'm very excited that so many of my fans will get to see it I hope there is a lesson that will inspire everyone who watches it, especially young up-and-coming athletes," declared Bolt.
Directed by Gabe and Ben Turner and produced by Fulwell 73 Productions, the world premiere of I Am Bolt was recently hosted in London with a heavy serving of A-listers in attendance, including sports and movie stars from around the world.
The movie chronicles the life and triumphs of the world's fastest man starting from the turn of the century with Usain in high school where his natural talents as an athlete were quickly spotted, to his training days with his incredible coach and sprint team, to how he spends his downtime and relaxes with his inner circle of friends and family.
