Sprint Hurdlers were in great form yesterday at the Queen's-Grace Jackson meet inside the National Stadium.

Four records were broken. Excelsior High's Ackera Nugent sped to a new mark of 11.69 seconds to win the Class Three Girls' 80 metres hurdles, breaking the old mark of 11.82 set by St Jago's Kimone McLeod last year. Holmwood Technical's Dyandra Gray (11.74) and Shamel Robinson (11.84) were second and third, respectively.

Holmwood's Shanette Wilson topped Class Two, winning the 100m hurdles in 13.40 to erase the 14.69 set by Hydel High's Jada Thomas last year. Vere Technical's Britany Anderson was second overall in 13.48, with third going to Danielle Dawkins of Queen's in 14.39.

Vere's Amoi Brown captured the Class One 100m hurdles in 13.75 ahead of Renee Shaw of Excelsior (14.06) and Patrice Watson of Queen's, 14.57.

Competing for his new school, Wolmer's Boys', former Calabar High hurdler Alex Robinson smashed the Class One 110m hurdles record. He clocked 13.88, beating the 14.40 set by Calabar's Sean Selvie last year. Calabar's pair of Orlando Bennett (13.96) and Lafranz Campbell (14.07) were the next best.

Kingston College's (KC) Timothy Lee was the fourth record breaker in the hurdles. He romped the Class Three 100m event in 13.95 seconds to erase the old mark of 14.28 set by Shaven Carr of Calabar last year. Calabar's Jerome Campbell was second in 13.98, the same time done by third-place finisher Javelin Granville of St Jago High.

KC took the first two places in the Class Two 110m hurdles. Wayne Pinnock and teammate Davion Williams both clocked 14.15. Calabar's Shaven Carr was third with 14.55.
