JN banking on Racers Grand Prix
JN Bank confirmed that they will continue as title sponsors of the JN Racers Grand Prix over the next two instalments in a move that Carlene Edwards, the institution's sales, promotions and events manager said was an indication of its commitment to athletics and sports development in general.
The June 10 event is set to unfold at the National Stadium with the likes of Usain Bolt, David Rudisha, Mo Farah and Wayde Van Niekerk expected to pull massive crowds.
Edwards, who was speaking at yesterday's launch event ahead of the second instalment of the Glen Mills-inspired meet, noted that her company was determined to play its role in pushing the growth of the sport in the island, and bringing world-class level athletics to the Jamaican track and field supporter.
"The important thing for us is to ensure that we have the opportunity to bring the biggest international stars of the sport here, and paired with our own icons and standouts, we are certain that the JN Racers Grand Prix product will continue to push the sport forward," Edwards told The Gleaner.
"We are tremendously excited, JN Group has been sponsoring sports and athletics and so it was an easy decision for us to again come on board with this event knowing the track record of Glen Mills and the Racers Track Club, so it was really a no-brainer for us," Edwards added.
She added that JN Bank will be engaging those in attendance at the meet in various activities involving JN Group products.
PROMOTION COMING SOON
Edwards noted that JN Bank will be launching a promotion in early April for JN Bank Visa Credit Card customers, who will have a chance to win tickets to the JN Racers Grand Prix and all-expense paid trips to the IAAF World Championships in London this summer.
"We will be activating our JN Bank Visa card, we will be using social media to give persons the chance to win tickets to JN Racers Grand Prix, with what we are calling the JN Bank Visa Credit Card VIP experience, where they will be treated like stars in the stadium," said Edwards.
"In early April, we will launch our JN Bank Visa credit card promotion and for persons with the Classic card, all they have to do is spend at $10,000 per month within the promotional period and persons with the Gold card; we are asking them to spend at least 15,000 to get an entry into the grand prize draw for a chance to win an all expense paid trip to the World Championships," Edwards concluded.
