Mullings through to Contender Semis

Sakima Mullings punched his ticket for the semi final round of the Wray and Nephew Contender Series with a split judges decision win over Canadian Larone Whyte at the Chinese Benevolent Association Auditorium earlier tonight.

Whyte showed resilience throughout the bout but it was not enough as the class of Mullings was enough to secure him the win.

Earlier in the evening, Patrick Sahadeo of the JDF gym defeated Ricardo Carter of the Dream Sports Gym while Renaldo Beckford of the Oracabessa Gym beat St Thomas Gym's Carlton Reid in two undercard contests.
