The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) yesterday opened a condolence book in honour of its late president, Captain Horace Burrell, at the JFF headquarters in New Kingston, with members of the public being invited to sign until June 29 .

A release sent by Janice Rose-Brown, JFF director of operations - PR and events, stated that: "Well-wishers are able to sign at the offices of the JFF, 20 St Lucia Crescent, between the hours 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays."

"The book is to allow persons who have been calling and those who are not calling to come in and sign in memory of Captain Burrell," Rose-Brown added.

Captain Burrell died last Tuesday after a battle with cancer. He was instrumental in the Reggae Boyz's historic appearance at the FIFA World Cup in 1998.

He served as president of the JFF from 1994 to 2003 and then from 2007 until he passed away. Burrell also served as a CONCACAF and FIFA executive.
