Curacao defeated Jamaica 2-1 in the ScotiaBank CFU Caribbean Cup final at the Stade Pierre-Aliker stadium in Fort-De-France, Martinique last night.

Elson Hooi scored both goals for Curacao, while Jamaica's defender Rosario Harriott gave his team hope when he slotted home in the 82nd minute.

However, Hooi who had an outstanding performance, handed his team an early lead in the first half. He came back and found the winning goal with a calm finish in the 83rd minute, just a minute after the Reggae Boyz had equalised.

It was Curacao's first Caribbean Cup title, while six-time champion Jamaica was losing a third Caribbean Cup final.

The Reggae Boyz will now focus on the CONCACAF Gold Cup starting next month in the United States of America.
