Ja Under-15s fall to Windward Islands

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):

Jamaica lost by eight wickets to the Windward Islands in the second round of the Regional Under-15 Championship here yesterday.

In the match played at Crab Hill, Jamaica were first dismissed for 133 off 40.1 overs. Batting for Jamaica, Sanjay Walker scored 35, Jordon Johnson 27, and Shemar Phillips 21. Leading bowlers for the Windwards were Kervyn Gangadeen, three for 25, and Udell Preville, two for 16.

The Windwards easily got past the Jamaica total, getting 134 for two in 41.1 overs, with Ackeem Auguste getting 62.

At 3W's Oval: Barbados won by 35 runs.

Barbados 192 for seven off 50 overs (Rivaldo Clarke 76, Jacob Bethell 29; Kenny Sutton 2-23, Jaylen Francis 2-26). Leeward Islands 157 all out of 44 overs (Carlton Tuckett 54, Rasheed Henry 37; Rivaldo Clarke 6-28).

At Lucas Street: Guyana won by seven runs.

Guyana 133 off 49.4 overs (Sheldon Charles 42; Darren Samlal 4-18, Aneil Pitiram 3-30). Trinidad & Tobago 126 off 49.3 overs (Kyle Roopchand 37; Sheldon Charles 3-24, Andre Seepersaud 2-12).
