Hylton cleared of anti doping violation charges

The Independent Anti-Doping Panel (IADP) has ruled that 400m sprinter Riker Hylton be cleared of charges related to Article 2.3 of the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission's (JADCO) rules.

JADCO had alleged that Hylton failed or evaded to submit a sample requested by a collection officer on April 27, 2016. 

The panel would not get into the reasons for the decision, as it said it would be a breach of rules to do so without the athlete's consent, since he has been cleared of the charges.

The decision was announced in a five minute meeting at the Sports Development Foundation headquarters at Phoenix Avenue in St. Andrew this morning, following a three day hearing of testimonies from witnesses of both Hylton and JADCO.
