Gayle : They came to the better side of North Street

It is not often that you find a Kingston College (KC) football player moving to bitter rivals t George's College (StGC), but this became a reality recently when three players from The Purples moved to the other side of North Street.

The three players, who recently made the switch from KC to StGC are Jamar Pusey, Jevon Francis and Jordan Peterkin.

Marcel Gayle, assistant coach of StGC, said the trio have been doing well since their arrival from KC in the summer.

SETTLED IN WELL

"They have settled into the team quite well," said Gayle. "They have always wanted to come to St George's College. I don't why, but it is the better side of the road, I guess," Gayle joked.

"They want to win and they want to play good football, hence they came here and we are grateful for them," he said.

Gayle added: "Kudos to us because I think that they are some terrific players and are coachable, and we can work with them and they fit into our system."

Meanwhile, St George's College kicked off their campaign in the ISSA/Flow Manning Cup with a resounding 7-0 victory over Tarrant High at Winchester Park yesterday.

The Light Blues were led to victory courtesy of a double from Romario Harding in the 43rd and 47th minutes.
