The third set of matches in the second round of the ISSA urban schoolgirl netball competition will be played this morning at the Leila Robinson Courts starting at 10:30.

Defending champions Excelsior High, and St Catherine High, look set to continue their winning ways among the seniors in Group One after posting two consecutive wins.

Excelsior, led by national Under-21 and senior player Hasani Williams, will face Ardenne while St Catherine will go up against Holy Trinity.

Both Excelsior and St Catherine had impressive wins on Wednesday. The defending champions got past Camperdown 31-20 while it was an overwhelming 45-25 win for

St Catherine over Ardenne. In the other match in the group, Tivoli, 29-22 winners over Holy Trinity on Wednesday, will be seeking their second win when they go up against Camperdown.

BIG WIN

The unbeaten pair of Queen's School and last year's beaten finalists, Gaynstead, will clash in a top of the table Group Two encounter. On Wednesday, the Marvette Anderson-coached Queen's were too good for Campion, getting by them 41-13, while it was another big win for the Dalton Hinds-coached Gaynstead, who whipped Norman Manley 57-17.

In the other matches in the group, St Andrew Technical, after their first win on Wednesday where they got by Immaculate 30-17, should get the better of Campion, while Immaculate will oppose Norman Manley.

In Junior action, defending champions Gaynstead look set to continue their impressive run when they meet former champions Queens. The impressive Gaynstead are coming off an easy 37-26 win over Norman Manley High.

Merl Grove High, the surprise team so far among the juniors, will be seeking to make it three wins in a row in Group Two. So far, they have defeated both Queen's and Camperdown, who they got by 26-16 on Wednesday, and should continue their winning ways against Holy Childhood.
