She's A Maneater heads Diamond Mile field

Triple Crown heroine and Red Stripe Superstakes winner, SHE'S A MANEATER, has been drawn at post position four for Saturday's third running of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission/Supreme Ventures Limited Diamond Mile.

Fourteen races are down to be contested on Saturday with post time for the first set at 10:10 a.m. The rich Diamond Mile, which has a purse of $14.26 million, is the 13th on the card and will go off at 4:30 p.m.

The top rated filly, to be ridden by overseas-based jockey Dane Nelson, is one of five Wayne DaCosta-trained horses in the 16-horse field. The others are HOVER CRAFT (Linton Steadman), ROYAL VIBES (Orlando Foster), IAN LINKS (Royan Wilson) and LOTTERY TICKET (Phillip Parchment).

Trainer Anthony Nunes also holds a strong hand in the race as he will saddle Superstakes runner-up BIGDADDYKOOL (Dick Cardenas) and Grade One campaigner HOUDINI'S MAGIC (Shane Ellis).

Saturday's race day could also prove crucial in the race for the trainers' championship. Champion trainer DaCosta now leads Nunes by just over

$2 million in stakes ($55,259,575 to $53,114,300). The winner of the Diamond Mile will surely seal this year's trainers' title.
