30 athletes for 2018 World Indoor Champs

Defending 60 metres hurdles champion Omar McLeod and Elaine Thompson, the 60 metres bronze medallist in Portland, Oregon two years ago,  head the 30-strong team named Tuesday night to represent Jamaica at the March 1-4 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, England.
  The team will be managed by Michael Frater and Deon Hemmings-McCatty with Maurice Wilson the technical leader. The other coaches are Fitz Coleman, Danny Haughton, Paul Francis and Michael Vassell.
  Men: Everton Clarke, Kimmari Roach, Omar McLeod, Javon Francis,  Steven Gayle, Kemoy Campbell, Ronald Levy,  Demar Forbes, Clive Pullen,  O’Dayne Richards,  Andre Clarke,  Jermaine Gayle,  Peter Matthews and  Rusheen McDonald.
  Women:  Remona Burchell,  Gayon Evans, Elaine Thompson, Dominique Blake,  Tovea Jenkins,  Natoya Goule, Aisha Praught,  Rushell Burton, Jeanine Williams,  Shanieka Rickets,  Kimberly Williams,  Danniel Thomas-Dodd,  Tiffany James, Anastasia Leroy,  Stephenie Ann McPherson and Janieve Russell.
  Jamaica won three medals - gold, silver and bronze - at the 2016 champions in Portland.  In addition to the medals captured by McLeod and Thompson, Asafa Powell was second in the men's 60 metres won by Trayvon Bromell of the United States.
