All the way up - Fowler-Reid aiming to dominate Australia Super League

Having broken the league's single game scoring record in her first match of the season for the West Coast Fever, Sunshine Girls shooter Jhaniele Fowler-Reid is now aiming to dominate this year's Australian Suncorp Super League competition.
Fowler-Reid, who made the switch to the Fever at the end of last season, after five years playing in the ANZ Championships in New Zealand with the Southern Steel, scored a league record 66 goals to guide her team to a 74-56 win over the Adelaide Thunderbirds on April 30.
Her effort surpassed the previous mark of 50 goals.
She followed that up by scoring 62 of her team's 68 goals to help the Fever to their second straight win over the Collingwood Magpies last Saturday.
The 28-year-old Fowler-Reid told The Gleaner from her base in Australia that she plans to leave her mark on the competition this season.
Personal target
"My personal target is to dominate the defenders every week and to take charge of the circle," said Fowler-Reid.
"My plan (before the start of the season) was to go in and start, confident, and I have done that because I broke the scoring record in my first match in the competition," she said.
The talented player, who helped to guide the Sunshine Girls to the bronze medal at last month's Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, added that the league is very competitive, but she is very determined to do well this year.
"It (league) is going to be intense. It is going to be much tougher than ANZ Championships in New Zealand," Fowler-Reid said.
"I am feeling really comfortable and somewhat at home because I have adapted well to my new surroundings in Australia.
"I am pretty pleased with how things have gone so far because it goes to show that the preseason training is paying off. I am feeling really good about my fitness because I am always ready to perform in each game," she said.
"You can expect a lot more consistency from me. I will be strong in the circle and just continue to maintain a high shooting percentage," Fowler-Reid stated.
