All Comers warm-up for local athletes

LOCAL junior and senior athletes will get another chance to warm up for next month's National Championships when the third JAAA All Comers meet takes place at the National Stadium this evening starting at 6 o'clock.

The meet is set to get under way after the final event of the JTA/ Sagicor National Athletics Championships.

Several local-based athletes are expected to be on show. At the last meet, two Sundays ago, there was some very exciting competition among some of the country's top senior athletes.

Only a handful are down to compete at the Eugene Diamond League and there should be good action at the National Stadium.

The opening events will see juniors and senior females competing in the 100 metres hurdles to be followed by both junior and senior men in the 110 metre hurdles.

Other events on the programme are:

6 p.m.: Shot Put : Females/Males - Juniors and Seniors

6 p.m.:High Jump : Females/ Males Juniors and Seniors

6:30 p.m: Long jump; 200m, 1500m

7 00: p.m: Discus

7:30 p.m: 400m

8:00p.m: 100m
