Bronze for Pinnock

Wayne Pinnock won Jamaica's first medal of the IAAF World Under-20 Championship in Tampere, Finland today  after securing a bronze in the men's long jump final with 7.90 metres.
 

Pinnock used his first effort to take an early lead in the event but  could not improve in his next five efforts.
 

His teammate, Shakwon Coke, produced a personal best of 7.73 metres for a seventh place finish.  Japan's Yuki Hashioka did 8.03 metres to capture the gold medal as  Cuba's  Maikel Vidal took silver with 7.99 metres.
