IAAF World U20 | Williams misses out on 400m medal

Stacy-Ann Williams failed to improve Jamaica’s medal tally at the IAAF World Under-20 Championships in Tampere, Finland after finishing sixth in the Women's 400 metres finals in 53.23 seconds.

Drawn in lane one, Williams failed to make any significant gains on her rivals and despite trying hard in the latter stage it proved a bit too much for her, as Himas Das of India won the race for the gold medal in 51.46 seconds.

It was a historic moment for the Indian athlete as it was the first time her country was winning a medal at these Championships
