Belgium have finished third in the FIFA World Cup after a 2-0 win over England in St Petersburg, Russia this morning.

The Red Devils opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a goal from Thomas Meunier.

Captain Eden Hazard guaranteed Roberto Martinez' side of victory when he doubled the lead in the 82nd minute.

This is the second time they have beaten England in this tournament as both teams had been drawn in Group G, where Belgium had a 1-0 win on June 28, thanks to Michy Batshuayi.

It also represents their best ever finish in a World Cup, with their previous best being fourth place, after losing 4-2 to France in the third-place play-off in Mexico in 1986.
