St Thomas U17 gets under way

 

A brace from Chevon Hamilton carried Port Morant All Star to a 6-2 drubbing of Delta Force as the St Thomas FA U17 Competition got under way on Monday. In other games, Danvers Pen, returning from a year's suspension, humbled York United 4-0, Baptist Alliance and Heartease ended goalless, while defending champions Lyssons got by Yallahs 2-0 on Tuesday.

 

Carey leads Marchionne tributes

 

Formula One CEO Chase Carey has led racing's tributes to former Ferrari President Sergio Marchionne, who died yesterday.

Marchionne, who was 66, died after complications from surgery in Zurich.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sergio Marchionne," said Carey. "He was a great leader of not just Formula 1 and the automobile world, but the business world overall. His contributions to Formula 1 are immeasurable. He was also a true friend to all of us and he will be deeply missed."

Marchionne, who was Italian and Canadian, replaced Luca di Montezemolo at the head of Ferrari in 2014.

 

Richarlison reunites with Silva

 

LIVERPOOL, England (AP):

Brazilian forward Richarlison has joined Everton from Watford and reunited with manager Marco Silva.

Richarlison signed a five-year deal believed to be worth US$52.6 million, Britain's Press Association Sport said.

Everton announced the move on Tuesday evening.

Richarlison scored five times in his opening 12 Premier League matches last season but did not find the net again.
