Veteran broadcaster Simon Crosskill is back as host of RJR's sports magazine programme, 'Sports Grill'. He started yesterday after replacing Patrick Anderson, who is on a leave of absence.

"I am going back to Hitz 92 and the 'Sports Grill', which is a programme I used to host way back when. I am returning to the media after being out for a couple of months dealing with illness. I am looking forward to it," Crosskill told The Gleaner ahead of his first show yesterday.

"I have done various jobs in the media from current affairs, news, morning-time TV, and sports. This is one aspect of my interest in media," he added.

With regard to his illness, which has kept him out of the media for several months, Crosskill is hoping to get back to full fitness.

"The illness is an ongoing process that requires a number of surgeries; the last was done last month. I am hoping to return to full fitness," said Crosskill, who is also a noted cricket commentator.

'Sports Grill' is aired on Hitz 92 FM from 5:07 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. It can also be heard on the Hitz 92 FM app and online at 1spotmedia.com or radiohitz92fm.com.
