Tahjay Green slammed in two goals to lift St Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) to a 3-1 win over Maggotty High School in their top-of-the-table Zone E clash in the ISSA/WATA daCosta Cup at the STETHS Sports Complex yesterday. The win pushed STETHS eight points clear at the top of the zone.

Green's goals came in the 15th and 47th minutes. The team's third goal was scored by Shamar Wallace in the 90th. Alex Allen got the consolation strike for Maggotty.

Green whose goal took his tally for the season to nine goals is happy he was able to get back on the score sheet after two goalless games.

"It is a good feeling. Getting the victory here today will push and motivate us to advance further in the competition," said Green.

Green who is also the team captain said that he got all-around support from his team, and this allowed him to focus on his game.

"The support from both senior and junior players as well as the coaching staff as well as family and friends has always been good, and it makes me feel comfortable," said Green.
