Coaches slam match officials after 2-2 RSPL draw

The coaches of  both FC Reno and Humble Lion FC felt hard done by the officiating in their Red Stripe Premier League match that ended 2-2 at the Frome Sports Complex on Sunday.  
Glendon 'Admiral' Bailey, coach of Humble Lion, said there is a problem with the officiating while also stating that it is not good for local football. He said inconsistency in calls is sending the wrong message. He was particularly upset with a decision during Sunday's match where the referee, after meeting twice with his assistants,  decided to award a goal which was initially ruled offside. There was a long hold-up in play while the referee consulted his assistant.  
  "Come on man, that is not good for football ... You have to be decisive in making a call. If he had signalled goal in the first place I would have no problem with that ..." he added. 
  Godfrey Drummond, coach of Reno, believes better officiating is needed in the nation's top flight football competition. 
"I think it was a good game in that we created the chances but I think one bad decision by the match official really cost us the game. When you have games of this magnitude you want competent referees who are going to make the tough calls and we didn't have that this afternoon that is why we didn't get a chance to win the game," said Drummond. 
  Randell Morris converted from the penalty spot in the ninth minute to hand Reno an early lead. Afiba Chambers cancelled out his former team's lead in the 60th minute. However, four minutes later Morris restored the host's lead from a controversial goal that was first ruled offside. It took more than seven minutes for play to resume.
  The visitors pushed hard for at least a share of the points and got it in the eight minutes of stoppage time when Levaughn Williams slammed home from the penalty spot.
  Bailey was pleased to pick up a point on the road. 
  "We could have won the game if we did not get those bad calls and bad luck but we got a point on the road. I really have to commend the team for that ... I must commend the boys on the fight they showed. We came here short-handed and didn't lay down even after trailing two times from bad calls," said Bailey.
