Chadwick Walton ... top-scored for Scorpions.

Nikita Miller of Jamaica Scorpions and Trinidad and Tobago Red Force's Anderson Phillip shared individual honours on the day but the Red Force held a distinct advantage over the hosts at stumps on day two of their WICB Professional Cricket League Four-day match at Sabina Park yesterday.

The visitors closed the day on 62 for two, an overall lead of 153.

The woeful form of the Jamaica Scorpions batsmen continued in their first innings when they were blown away for 112. Pacer Anderson Phillip took a spectacular hat-trick, inducing Assad Fudadin and Kenroy Williams to edge to slip before knocking over the stumps of Aldane Thomas first ball. He ended with three for 26. Daniel St Clair, Khary Pierre and Odean Smith all took two wickets each.

Top scorer for the Scorpions was Chadwick Walton who made 35. Captain Paul Palmer made 26. All-rounder Rovman Powell, who was forced to bat at 11 due to an injured leg, was left not out on 19.

Earlier, the Red Force, resuming on 135 for seven, were bowled out for 203. Nikita Miller took all three wickets to fall to end with five for 62. It was the 33rd time in his career that he has taken a five-wicket haul. Powell took three for 40 and Oshane Thomas, two for 30. Top scorer for the Trinidad Red Force was Yannick Cariah who made 61. Khary Pierre was next best with 35.

Miller has bagged both wickets in the Red Force's second innings. The two openers are the ones dismissed. Jeremy Solazano was bowled for 13 and Kyle Hope went leg before wicket for 20. Daren Bravo, 20, and Khary Pierre on two, are the not-out batsmen. Play resumes on today's third day at 9.30 a.m.
