A pulsating encounter is expected when the RJRGLEANER Communications Group face National Housing Trust (NHT) in the final of the CargoNow Kingston and St Andrew Business House Knockout football competition at Winchester Park today at 3:30 p.m.

RJRGLEANER booked their spot in the final after an exciting 3-2 victory over GraceKenndy in the semi-final while NHT secured their place in the championship game with a 1-0 win over Metrodade Security.

RJRGLEANER will be seeking their third straight hold on the title, and head coach David Lalor says that his players are prepared to give it their all to ensure that they come out victorious today.

“The team is upbeat despite us losing out on a place in the other final because GraceKennedy beat us in the semi-final in the league competition,” Lalor said. “We only have this one to look forward to, so we just have to pull out all the stops to win this silverware.

“We haven’t won a silverware for the longest while, so the team is really looking forward to ending this drought in this final.”

RJRGLEANER will be depending heavily on the likes of Ajay Chin, Javaughn Johnson, and Loxley Thompson to lead their charge to victory.

Cajay Campbell, coach of NHT, who will competing in their first knockout final, said his players are very optimistic ahead of today’s game.

“I am expecting a very entertaining final seeing that we played them in the preliminary round and we drew 1-1, so I think (RJRGLEANER) are expecting a lot from us, and we are also expecting a lot from them,” he said.

“I think the team who is more determined will win the game because both teams have a lot of quality players. However, we are desperate for the title because this is the first time that we are reaching this final, so we want to win it.”
