Jamaica's Under 20 Women's football team advanced to the quarter-finals of the Under 20 Concacaf Women's Championship, after demolishing Bermuda 9-1 in their round of 16 game at the Estadio Panamericano in the Dominican Republic on Saturday.

Captain Jody Brown was in amazing form scoring four goals in the rout and temporarily taking the lead as the top goalscorer of the tournament with eight goals. Lacey Murray opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Brown doubled the lead two minutes later.

Bermuda pulled one back through Nia Christopher in the 26th minute but the Jamaicans restored their two goal advantage with a great header from Nevillegail Able. The young Reggae Girlz were rampant as they put six past Bermuda in the second half through Chantelle Parker, substitute Sydoney Gayle and Brown, who completed her hattrick from the penalty spot and scored the final goal in stoppage time.

Jamaica will now face either El Salvador or host nation Dominican Republic in the last eight on Wednesday
