Jamaica's Elaine Thompson Herah put in another assured performance, winning the women's 100m sprint at the Doha leg of the Wanda Diamond League at the Qatar Sports Club today.

Although not a world leading time like she had aimed for, Thompson cruised to victory in 10.87 seconds, comfortably ahead of the rest of the field which saw Ivorian Marie-Josée Ta Lou finish second in 11.21s. Kayla White, of the United States, finished third in 11.25s.

Yanique Thompson, the other Jamaican in action, finished eighth in the women's 100m hurdles race in a time of 13.52s.
