Tipsters’ selections reap $264,320 Reggae 6
TRACK and Pools’ tipsters enjoyed a rewarding weekend, led by back-to-back longshots from Gizzy and The Editor on Saturday, and the Clockman’s consistency, spotting both the Reggae 6 and Twilight 6 on Sunday’s eight-race card.
From the exotic ‘Best Bets’ selections to the Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited-sponsored Reggae 6 and Twilight 6, Track and Pools tipsters had all 10 winners on Saturday.
On Saturday, the tipsters collectively spotted the ‘Reggae 6’, which replaced the Sunrise 6 on October 3 with a guaranteed $2m single-winner jackpot after each opening-day $3m guarantee.
DRONE STRIKE was widely used as a five-star banker, followed by Gizzy nailing 9-1 shot BEACH BOY in the second event. The Editor, the country’s most dangerous longshot tipster, stood alone with 18-1 stunner, XY SOUL, in the third.
The Editor’s hat-trick, XY SOUL, PRINCESS LIZZY and another stand-alone selection, AZUL, was rounded off by Indian Flame’s stand-alone SEVEN ELEVEN, completing the Reggae 6, which returned $264,320 in payouts and now has a $1.13m single-winner bonus.
BEACH BOY and SEVEN ELEVEN denied The Editor the Reggae 6, leaving him ruing his $1,440 wager and two selections in either race.
Meanwhile, The Clockman’s consistency paid off on Sunday with meagre wagers in the Reggae 6 and Twilight 6, spending $360 and $1,200 respectively, to collar both.
The Clockman, who overcame a scare from Shaggy to complete the August-September double in the monthly $10,000 Most Wins category, now shares the October lead, nine wins, with Indian Flame and is the first tipster to spot the Reggae 6, which puts him in the lead for the new ‘Most Reggae 6’ incentive, which has an annual prize money of $10,000.
