More allegations of abuse by Kyle Butler on Twitter
The Twitter account of Kyle Butler has posted more content alleging abuse of the national Under-23 footballer.
After a series of posts on Monday that alleged that the 22-year-old had been stabbed and left to bleed in an incident at Mona High School, new content has been added to the account which shows more injuries to Butler. However, he has been careful not to name the alleged abuser, who he said has also abused him and his mother mentally and physically for years.
In one photo, Butler is seen with a welt across his left shoulder blade.
"Explain this ... did a stick make this?" the caption on the photo read in relation to Butler's father, Craig, telling STAR Sports that the player fell on a stick, leading to wounds on his arms.
When asked what had caused the back injury, Kyle responded that "man lick me outta him lass a couple days before because I had friends over".
A screenshot of a text message saying "Is long time he was planning to attack you" was also posted with the caption "Premeditated".
While Craig denied on Monday that Kyle had been attacked, he did not refute that an incident had taken place, saying that things happened that he did not wish to discuss and he was only trying to protect his son.
"He has been having some issues," Craig said. "There are a lot of things happening, and I have to protect him from himself."
More on this developing story to come.
