No Michail Antonio in Reggae Boyz Gold Cup squad
West Ham United's Michail Antonio is among the notable exclusions from the national senior men's football team's final Concacaf Gold Cup roster.
The Jamaica Football Federation released the 23-man roster on Thursday. The squad will report to pre-tournament camp in Orlando, Florida shortly, where they will play all of their three Group C games.
Antonio who announced his intention to play for the Reggae Boyz in March was seeking a Jamaican passport and was named to the provisional roster.
Other notable absences include Swansea City's Jamal Lowe, and Watford's Andre Gray who made their international debuts in March and also scored their first international goals in friendlies against the United States (March 25) and Serbia (June 7) respectively.
The final roster includes national goalkeeper and captain Andre Blake, who will return to international duty for the first time since October 13, 2019. Defender Liam Moore and winger Blair Turgott, who made their international debuts this year against the United States and Serbia respectively, have also been included with Leon Bailey, Shamar Nicholson, and Ravel Morrison.
Jamaica will open the tournament on July 12 against Suriname.
