The United States defeated Jamaica 2-0 in their World Cup qualifying game at the Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas on Thursday evening.

Ricardo Pepi scored a brace in the 49th and 62nd minutes respectively, as the result keeps the Reggae Boyz rooted to the bottom of the eight-team table with one point.

Jamaica survived two appeals for red cards with only yellow cards for Kemar Lawrence and Damion Lowe for challenges where the USA were through on goal.

After only having three shots with none on target in the first half, the United States finished the game with 17 shots, seven of those on target. Jamaica finished with 5 shots with only one on target.

Jamaica will face Canada at the National Stadium on Sunday followed by Honduras on Wednesday.
