Goals from Andre Fletcher and Devroy Grey carried last season's beaten finalists Waterhouse to a come-from-behind 2-1 win over ten-man Montego Bay United, as the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) kicked off at the UWI-JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence on Sunday.

Montego Bay's Alrick Ottey had the best chance of the first half but he placed his shot wide of an empty goal from six yards.

Two minutes after the break, Montego Bay were reduced to ten players when Ewan Barton was shown a red card.

However, Geovanni Reid fired the ten-man Montego Bay into the lead in the 69th minute.

The advantage was short-lived as Waterhouse's Ricardo Thomas was brought down inside the box and Andre Fletcher converted the resulting penalty to level the scores in the 71st minute.

Then nine minutes from the end, substitute Devroy Grey turned home a left side cross from Thomas to give Waterhouse a 2-1 lead which they held to the end.In Sunday's opening game of the new season Cavalier clipped Arnett Gardens 2-1. Jamoi Topey and Shaneil Thomas were the scorers for Cavalier while Chaney Willis was on target for Arnett Gardens.
