Jamaica's Briana Williams (centre) wins her semi-final heat in 7.08 seconds at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia on Friday. Michelle-Lee Ahye (left), of Trinidad and Tobago was second in 7.14 while Vitoria Cristina Rosa (right) of Brazil was third, also in 7.14.

JAMAICA'S Briana Williams and Shericka Jackson advanced to the women's 60 metres final at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia on Friday.

Jackson is the fastest non-automatic qualifier after she finished third in her semi-final heat in a personal best 7.08 seconds, behind World leader Ewa Swobada of Poland who won the heat in 7.03 and Marybeth Sant-Price (7.05) of the United States.

Young Briana Williams looked quite easy in winning her semi-final in 7.08 seconds to advance.

The final is slated for 2:55 p.m Jamaica time.
