Champs 2022 | Edwin Allen's Salmon in pole position among Class Four long jumpers

Edwin Allen's Tishanna Salmon was the best qualifier headed into the final of the Class Four long jump at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium earlier today. 

Salmon's 5.24 metres, achieved on her third attempt, counted as the longest jump of the preliminary round. The automatic qualifying mark for the final is 5.20, with Sashana Johnson of Hydel High, hitting it exactly. Yasheika Sinclair of Edwin Allen also advanced with 5.10, the third-longest jump of the day.

The other athletes to have qualified for the final are Renae Escoe of Wolmer's High School for Girls, Khadijah Johnson of Manchester High, Rajana Price of Alpha Academy, Ninka Comrie of Vere Technical, Shahi Hudson of Excelsior, Kevina Bourne of Port Antonio, Alexia-Marie Williams of Immaculate Conception, Alexia Williams of St Jago High and Stefvanco Henry of Campion College.
