Holmwood Technical's Cedricka Williams picked up the first win for Jamaican high school athletes at the Penn Relays after an impressive season's best of 54.00 metres to capture the Championships of America High School Discus.

Williams, the IAAF World Under-20 second ranked athlete in the event and who won at the Carifta Games after a disappointing seventh place finish at the ISSA Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships, recorded her winning mark on her fourth attempt after fouling on her first throw.

Victoria Christie of Camperdown High threw 44.88 on her sixth and final attempt to complete a Jamaican one-two finish.
